Atwood’s Bakery Policies

General Information: 

Atwood’s Bakery is honored to have your business.  We value the privacy of our customers, business partners, employees and job applicants as well as other visitors to our website who may choose to provide personal information.  We recognize the need to protect and manage personal information provided to us.  We have systems in place to protect consumers, and to allow you a safe experience while visiting our site.

Privacy Policy:

Atwood’s Bakery is committed to protecting your privacy.  Any information collected during your purchase will not be provided to any third party. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.

On-Line Policy Only:

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through this site.  It does not apply to any information collected or disseminated by any other method.  Atwood’s Bakery reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time.  Be sure to check this page periodically for updates.  This policy applies only to personal information collected online at www.bakingmemories.com and does not apply to information collected offline by Atwood’s Bakery. By accessing and using our website, and by providing us with your information, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to this privacy policy, please do not use our site.  Your continued use of our site following the positing of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. 

Security Policy:

Atwood’s Bakery makes reasonable efforts to secure the personal data you choose to provide us.  To protect the privacy of the personal information you have provided, Atwood’s Bakery employs reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access including Internet Firewalls and Anti-Virus Protection.  No data transmission over the internet or wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.  We are committed to keeping your payment and personal information as safe as possible.  Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.  It encrypts all your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet. Only those employees who need access to our users’ information to do their jobs are allowed access.  Employees who violate our privacy policy are subject to disciplinary action. 

Refund Policy:

In the event you are unhappy with your order and/or purchase, immediately notify Atwood’s Bakery  (within 24 hours of pick-up or receipt of your item) of your concern.  Take a photo of the item and email it to Go Here, along with a brief description of the problem. A manager will contact you and determine the course to correct the issue. Refunds are determined on a case by case basis, if we are unable to replace your item.   If an item is damaged in shipment or the item did not arrive on time, please contact www.ups.com with your tracking number and file a claim with the carrier. 

Shipping Policy:

Atwood’s Bakery utilizes UPS for shipping within the United States only. Rates are determined by recipient’s location.  Please contact us for shipping cost.  We cannot ship to P.O. Box’s and APO addresses.  We cannot ship to other countries. With the selection of UPS 2nd Day Air or  Overnight Saver, shipping is available for a selection of our products including Deep Dish Pecan Pies, Brownie Boxes, 1 lb. Candy Trays, and King Cakes.  We ship Tuesday – Thursday, excluding holidays and inclement weather.  Please inform the recipient to expect shipment.  Delays resulting from inclement weather are not covered. Once a delivery has been attempted (a call tag left) delays resulting from setting up a second delivery attempt or pick-up are not covered. If your items are damaged in shipping, the customer is responsible for processing a damage claim with UPS.  Claims must be made within 5 days of receipt.  UPS may require the damaged product, box and all items included in package be picked up for inspection; so please do not discard the box, product damaged or any of its contents.  Damage and unsuccessful deliveries are uncommon, less than 1.5%.  No refunds are given for incomplete or wrong addresses.  Packages are left at the door if its determined to be safe.  If the package is to an address located at an apartment, condo, dormitory, hotel, or hospital – shipment is typically directed to the complex office or receiving department which could result in delays.  Again, please ensure the recipient knows to expect delivery. No refunds are given for this delay. No deliveries are accepted at Military Bases or P.O. Boxes.  Deliveries to extended delivery areas are not guaranteed. Our items are perishable, and therefore cannot be returned. Credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing an order. 

For shipping King Cakes:

All our King cakes are packaged the day it’s baked to ensure freshness.  All our King Cakes are shipped using UPS in a King Cake shipper box, and are shipped via 2nd Day Air or Overnight Saver at the customers preference.  This means the King Cake will be delivered the day after it’s baked, or the following day (by the end of the day) so it is very fresh.  We ship on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting. We do ship on the Monday prior to Fat Tuesday. Please inform the recipient to expect shipment.  Delays resulting from inclement weather are not covered. Once a delivery has been attempted (a call tag left) delays resulting from setting up a second delivery attempt or pick-up are not covered.
